I am a fan of erotica anthologies because the reader has a better chance of finding some really good stories when multiple authors are showcased. All too often I have found that people attempt to write erotica but really shouldn't have. This book was the exception. A very nice exception. These stories are sensuous, interesting and nicely developed. The sex is hot, intimate and wonderful. Even better I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was every story well-written, but edited with quality in mind. Ms. Green and Ms. Valencia did an outstanding job picking and choosing the theme based stories and keeping them true to the form. Not surprisingly Ms. Green's own story of an encounter with a lovely reporter during the VietNam War is one of my favorites. Lipstick on Her Collar, the story and the anthology is not to be missed.

I'm not the biggest fan of erotic anthologies because I usually find the quality of the writing to be spotty. Some stories flow like melted chocolate off the page - thick, sensuous and richly developed. Others flow like your grandma's denture paste on a cold day. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find every story well-written, edited and clearly consistent with the theme. In addition, this consistency in quality did not bleed over into consistency in tone - each story had a unique voice, style and take on the overall theme of "lipstick on her collar." I didn't find it surprising that my favorite story was written by one of the editors, Sacchi Green. Clearly, this anthology was placed in talented hands when it landed on the desks of Ms. Green and Ms. Valencia. I look forward to more from these talented women.
