This stuff works great to prevent deer from nibbling on your flowers. Do not spill the bottle because you will regret if for a looong time: "Smells bad" does not begin to describe how smelly the undiluted liquid is. 2.0 out of 5 stars Must reapply everyday for weeks
I bought a large spray container of this product. The smell is god awful and it seems to be marginally effective at best. I am using it to attempt to get rabbits from killing my lawn.

If liquid fence is not reapplied everyday after the sprinklers have diluted it the rabbits just come back.
Let's put it this way, I've gone through a large container and...

This stuff works great to prevent deer from nibbling on your flowers. Do not spill the bottle because you will regret if for a looong time: "Smells bad" does not begin to describe how smelly the undiluted liquid is. I have found that if I spray in the late afternoon, by the next day the yard smells normal again because the liquid has dried on the plants. Seems to last for a couple of weeks between sprays as long as you don't wash off the flowers. I highly recommend this product -- don't waste your time trying to make your own home mix, as I did for several years. Just buy this.

5.0 out of 5 stars No more deer, February 26, 2009

Great product I live in the Florida Keys on a island called Big Pine where the tiny Key Deer are an endangered species. You are not allowed fences so they eat every flower you try to grow. I tried the liquied fence and it works great. The smell is terrible for about an hour but then goes away. Now my yard and garden look great. Love it!!!!

We have been using Liquid Fence for about a year. It has worked great. Only one time did it allow the deer to eat our flowers and that was after several days of hard rain. Overall we are very pleased.

I have tried various forms of deer repellant from liquid concentrate to shaker crystals. This has ended up as my favorite. I like the sprays because they cover the new growth which MUST be protected. This is the only spray that does not have chunks in it which clog the nozzle on my sprayer. Recommended.

Have to admit that I only ordered this repellent in desperation as the rabbits were eating my garden up and the area was just too large to even think about fencing. So based only on Amazon's heresay I ordered it. I didn't even order a sprayer, just decided I would use my little quart sprayer as I did not think Liquid Fence would work anyway. Well was I surprised: first, it was very easy to handle, though a little stinky, and after the first application "no more rabbits grazing in my garden". I will admit that after the first application I followed with another for 2 mornings. I probably went a little overboard, but it was so wonderful to see an undamaged garden each morning. Can't speak for how it works with deer but it is the answer for rabbits. I, also, ended up ordering a Gilmour gallon sprayer which really makes it a snap to apply to the garden.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Stuff Works and Works Well, June 10, 2010

My neighborhood has had a rabbit infestation issue, and even with fences, the rabbits find new ways of getting in and eating the tasty flowers / bushes. This product solved it; plants are now growing and flowering again. My product contained 40oz versus the 32oz, as described and makes 5 gallons.

Must be very careful making your mix -- don't spill anything, or you will be sorry. Don't make the mix inside your house. I use an old Windex sprayer for my mix. I can't stress this enough: THIS IS THE MOST VILE SMELLING CONCOCTION ON EARTH -- DON'T SPRAY INTO THE WIND. Smell disipates after a day or so -- keep windows closed until then.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works!, February 25, 2011

This is the only stuff I've found that keeps the deer and rabbits from eating my flowers. Yes, it smells when first applied, but that odor goes away in a few hours. I've learned to think of the odor as a thing of beauty (call me romantic), as I know the application will do it's job.

The only downside is that I need to apply it more often than recommended, typically once per week. But that's not a big deal.

In the end, I've watched deer walk right by my flowers and not give them a second glance. It's so nice to have my flowers back...for the whole summer.

This is my second order so it works like a charm. Delivery is fast and the product works well. I add a bit of spreader sticker to the mixed spray to enhance the sticking power of the sprayed product on the plants. I give it 5 stars.

I've used this product for a few years, along with Deer Scram (a granular product). I alternate usage so that the deer do not get used to either and I start using them at the very first sign of deer damage. This method works well for me in keeping the deer away.

I've not had a rabbit problem and don't know how effective it is.

The only drawback is that it washes off in a good rain, as does Deer Scram and any other product of this type.
