I was so frustrated I was using bottle rockets to scare the geese away when I saw them. However, I certainly couldn't stand guard all the time. We had so many geese on our lakeside lawn that I couldn't take a single step in the yard without stepping in their waste. I used the bottle rocket technique for several years until I discovered this product. What a godsend! But it takes a determined campaign to rid the property of geese even with this product. You cannot spray a couple times here and there and be rid of them.
First you should be using your grass clippings for mulch. Let them fall on the lawn as you mow. They upset the geese stomachs. They like grass clippings better than chewing it off. Would you take precut celery or prefer to cut it yourself, before each bite? The clippings are the reason the product works after you have mowed the grass.
Second you need to reapply about three times to keep the effectiveness.
Geese will come and will try repeatedly, but there is tastier stuff nearby. They learn that they don't like what you have to offer. Once their babies are older and foraging for themselves you must apply again, because although the parents won't return, the offspring are going to try your lawn.I wait 'til I see them show up. A few applications then and you are done for the season. If you see them around, just put on another application. Eventually there are far fewer geese trying out your lawn. You still must apply in the spring, because of new geese coming around. But oh what a difference -- I can now walk on my lawn without the mess.

The product seems to work well but to get rid of the geese, I am attacking them with this product along with fences and physically chasing them away when they come. unfortuntely - there is nothing that will magically make them go away. I called Liquid Fence - they said this chemical upsets the geese stomach and they learn over time that your grass is making them sick? You also have to put multiple applications down to make it effective - so it's not an instant stop. But it seems nothing is an instant stop for these geese. I just ordered more, they recommand putting an application down after each cut - and leave the grass clippings - The geese will eat them first.

I tried to stop the ducks from hanging around my patio, leaving poop everywhere. So I sprayed the whole bottle on the cement patio and surrounding grass. Big mistake. Left an odor like a the inside of a mouse cage. Next morning the ducks arrived in force. I suspect that this product is best to spray on vegetation that the ducks are munching on. It will not discourage ducks from hanging around. Not even undiluted Clorox poured on the concrete will deter a duck from walkng through it.

We had a terrible time with geese coming into our back pond and grassy areas. They had a family of 8 and nothing would drive them away. I sprayed liquid fence for geese and they tried eating for exactly one day and then left, never to return. This really works. Highly recommended.

I purchased this product to try to prevent ducks from coming into the grassy area between my fence and the lake in my back yard. For the first day or two, the product seemed to confuse the ducks a bit, but they never left the area and continued to feed on the grass in my back yard. After a week, it was as if I had never sprayed anything (other than the foul smell). Unfortunately, the product did not work for me...perhaps it works better on Geese.

I used this a couple times on my front lawn, especially after cutting grass. Geese were back a couple times, but with a red laser and single string fencing they are beginning to get the hint. I will try it again to reinforce that they are not welcome.

Canadian geese were daily making a mess on my lawn. I applied the product to my entire property and endured several days of a putrid-grape smell outside my house. Results were not immediate, but after about a week there was a dramatic change -- the geese stopped visiting my property -- that has remained to this day, five months later. I have seen geese on my property only twice since.

I applied this stuff twice in a couple of days. It really stinks, and for a while, less geese were eating the grass. But that didn't last long enough to warrant the cost of this spray.
