5.0 out of 5 stars Great Intro to John Scofield
If you have never heard him before this is a great sampler. Tunes with several different supporting musicians, which is what John does very well. Blue Matter, and Pick Hits, The Boss's Car, and Georgia on My Mind are favs of mine. After you hear this you will probably be looking for more from Scofield, I did.

3.0 out of 5 stars Get the original releases instead

Yeah, sure these tracks are great, but then again, the producers of this compilation could have picked ANY 12 tracks from the Gramavision years and the results would have been superior. Don't waste your entertainment dollar--start by picking up the Gramavision releases Still Warm, Blue Matter, and Loud Jazz and prepared to be blown away. The other Gramavision releases, Electric Outlet and Flat Out, are not essential, but still good. Fans of Scofield's fusion years should also pick up I Can See Your House From Here, Scofield's dueling guitars date with Pat Metheny.
