This review may only speak to a very few people, but nonetheless, I would have liked to seen a review like this somewhere in my neverending search for sound healing music. I use many forms of music in my healing sessions, and the LIquid Mind series are hands down the best. I primarily use these CD's through a vibroacoustic soundtable, and the overtones are just right. Constant and not too jarring. The music penetrates into the body in a mellow and flowing way. The vibration of the music is subtle yet powerful. If you are looking for good sound table music, this collection is what you are looking for, as well as anything by Klaus Wiese or Crystal Voices crystal bowl cd's.

The Liquid Mind CDs truly help your mind immediately become more 'liquid' and allow the stress and chatter to flow away. This is among the most perfect music I've heard for beginning a meditation or prayer period, especially when turned down low (turn off the tv and try it in the evening with the lights off and a lit candle). The very way it flows into itself is conducive to deep relaxation and letting go, helping to facilitate even deeper meditative states. I can't help but believe that the creator had exactly this in mind (even turned down low everything comes through). No jarring or sudden changes. This particular CD has a pastoral feeling to me, like lying out in a large rolling field with sunshine and white clouds slowly drifting across the sky. We need all the help we can get to relax and let go of the static that tries to fill our lives!

As with all the other Chick Wild releases, "Spirit" is a guaranteed stress reliever. These days you hear many different types of music being labelled as "Ambient", but if you want to know what this term really means, check out Liqid Mind. Floating, drifting, light, endless music that just seems to hang there until you realize you've been sucked into it's serenity. A beauty.

Do not drive down the road with this CD playing my friends, this is not really "relaxation music" in the sense of the word that most people think of it. This music would not be helpful to someone trying to clean house or pass the time on a road trip. I found this music to bring me into a state of meditation and contemplation that I have seldom been in before. I listen to it while floating in my pool on the weekend and the world goes away and all that is there is being. For all Yoga teachers, this is a wonderful album for Savasana and Yoga Nidra.

TOP RELAXATION MUSIC!

This is the first cd I've bought in the Liquid Mind series, but after hearing this one, I'll buy more. The music is calming and soothing; great to fall asleep by which I often do. It lulls you into a peaceful state of relaxation, letting your mind drift away from the cares of the day. It makes me think of floating on a cloud. I would highly recommend this cd for anyone with a busy, stressed-out life.

This music is fantastic for relieving stress, meditation, or soothing a hyper child. It isn't important to analytically listen to this music but simply let it wash over you and let the picture show within your mind begin. However, it was a pleasant surprise to discover a deeper level to what is going on with this music. (I confess that I am a classically trained composer, too.)

I was impressed to discover that Liquid Mind VI: Spirit goes beyond being simply slow, majestic and gorgeous chord progressions that drift by like clouds and gracefully untie every knot of stress in your soul, which they masterfully do.

Chuck Wild has organized these pieces with a very subtle structure to them using some compositional techniques used by master composers. When a part recurs within a piece, he will often trick your ear and resolve a chord in a slightly different way that he did previously rather than just repeat something. He plays this subtle game with your ear throughout most of these pieces.

Chuck's use of orchestration and the rich tapestry of instrument layers with his synthesizers can make you forget that this music is being generated on a keyboard. You will hear the sounds of various instruments within an orchestra come into the foreground for a time and then settle back into the background just like a real orchestra.

His chord progressions use very subtle techniques to smoothly morph into various keys and tonal centers. Chuck even used a Beethoven-esque technique where you hear a chord, all the notes fall away except for one, and then you hear that same note within a brand new chord of a different key. It's so smooth that you may not even notice that the key was just changed and your ear was tricked.

I'm sure Chuck Wild would tell you that the pictures that form in your mind as you listen to this music are far more important than his compositional techniques. The stress that drains out of you while listening as you commute home from work is sure worth its weight in gold.

This is great music to chill out by. Letting go is what it's all about if you ask me. Liquid Mind is a perfect refuge for stressed out people who have trouble sleeping or want to get a massage. This is probably the slowest music you've ever heard, but unique is good, I'm tired of aggressive music, long live slow! As for the last review, the whole point of the music is to meander and not focus on anything. Download a sample from their fifth album, Serenity, if you want to test drive this music.

Just what I was looking for. Perfect for massage, calming down or just relaxing before bed. Something about it helps me breathe better.

If a person's soul could be transcribed into music... it would be this. Chuck Wild finds a way to transcend that which cannot be spoken, into music. It's exquisitely beautiful and infinitely rare to find such genius.
