BRAINSTORM has been the prototype Metal Blade development story over the last few years. With the band's fourth release for the label, LIQUID MONSTER stands to be a European phenomenon, which will give the band solid footing to break through stateside. 5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!! October 15, 2005
Format:Audio CD
I've heard of this band before, so last week I decided to check em out. Woooooooow! These guys really do bring the power metal hard! And, you know what, to the reviewer below me, I don't know why you even reviewed this CD. These guys don't even sound that Goth to me. Besides, I never like to be technical about everything, I just like mostly everything. Anyways...this CD is awesome, sounds a lot like Demons & Wizards, except most of these songs are fast! I also got Metus Mortis, which is another great album by them, you should check it out! So, basically, if you like Demons & Wizards, then you'll definitely like Brainstorm! My favorite song out of this whole album is Worlds Are Comin' Through.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! November 3, 2006
Format:Audio CD
Okay, I'm going to make this one short because I think it is unneccessary to get into things here. This album $%$$^# ROCKS! To be honest, I did not ever hear about this band before until I was searching some metal bands on myspace and took a listen and heard "Inside the Monster" and thought it was an amazing song. How the heck did these guys go unnoticed? I am a huge metalhead, to a certain extent for I really don't care at all for these death metal bands, i.e. Lamb of God and other 2nd stage acts at Ozzfest. I love loud guitars and such, don't get me wrong but I can't handle a band that has a singer that, well, can't sing.

Anyways, getting off topic. This band is great musically and they seem to bring something fresh that is missing in metal nowadays. And not only are they good at thundering metal but they can go ballad to like on "Heavenly". Point being, buy this album now. You will not regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hell Yeah!!!!!!!!!!! March 18, 2006
By Sandman
Format:Audio CD
Excellent head banging tunes all around here. The first 4 are especially good, actually scratch that, they all rock!!

The production is great as all instruments are heard as well as felt. The singer can belt it out and the guitars are full and fat with ripping solo's to boot. The bass, keys and drums are all very solid and provide a foundation on which these tunes are driven forward.

Yup this cd will kick your ass because it has a solid foundation of great song writing. Who says good music is hard to find?, sometimes you just have to look a little harder to find the gems in the pile of corporate crap. This release is one of those rare finds as it has it all.

If you like hard rock/metal?, you'll love this!!!!!!!!!

Buy it now and don't miss out on the Storm these guys have created here!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Metal!! August 10, 2007
Format:Audio CD
I heard of Brainstorm about a year and a half ago and bought the CD "Ambiguity". Since then I've picked up all four of their CD's. Each one is awesome due to excellent songwriting and the great vocals of Andy Franke. Liquid Monster starts out strong and keeps smokin through to the end. The music varies with some hard pounding songs as well as some more melodic metal numbers. There are some superb guitar leads as well as strong bass and pounding drums. This is a must for fans of Tad Morose, Dream Evil, and Primal Fear. Keeping it METAL!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Masters Of Metal! May 31, 2005
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
These guys are just phenomenal! They have possibly the tightest and best metal drummer out there. I saw them this year and they were one of the best metal bands I have ever seen. This cd is another installment of prime all-out great hard edged songs. You will not be disappointed with this one. The vocals and guitars are top of the line as well as the song writing.Production is great. This is what Priest should sound like! These guys are definately influenced by them but surpass them in many ways. They are simply one of the best bands out there today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brainstorm at their BEST ... May 22, 2005
Format:Audio CD
These guys are become true German Metal Masters, and they are doing it fast and powerfully! I have been fans of them since I heard their song "Voices" from the Unholy (1998) album. The song's lyrics and instrumental/musical style just blew me away! Liquid Monsters is no different, as it starts strong with a great tune called "Worlds Are Comin' Through." To me, the best songs on this track are Inside The Monster, Invisible Enemy, Heavenly, Painside. Heavenly, has a great musically acoustic presence to it as I believe it's the first "slower" ballad I'e heard from them. The other 3 song I mentioned just sound cool, especially the chorus on Inside the Monster, it's just the way all sing at once that gives out an eerie effect! My favorite, and the single for this album is "All those Words," which is a beautifully written song - One of the best songs they wrote! With this album, and their last (Soul Temptation), Brainstorm has easily went from a good band that some people heard, to a Great band that it topping the charts all over Europe and getting up there in North America. If you are a fan of great, almost '80's style Heavy Metal with a whole new upbeat feel to it, there is no doubt that you should enjoy this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars This album deserves its own pedestal.
The whole album is amazing. It wont be topped in the traditional metal field this year. Period. Unless the new Primal Fear is as good as its being hailed as.
