It seems to be quite strong and durable.

I tried to use this product, let it cure as directed, and as soon as I touched the object that was stuck with it, it simply fell off, like jello.

I got my tube of "Liquid Nails Adhesive perfect glue 0.75 fl. oz" from Home Depot about a week ago, because it claimed rapid curing of 8 hours, and "A patented technology that provides a powerful, waterproof adhesive..." and "bonds wood and paper, fabric, leather and upholstery, glass, ceramic and porecelain, metal, stone, rubber and so much more".

It was the rapid cure time and waterproof properties that appealed to me, plus Liquid Nails has a very good reputation.

A very frustrating experience. First I tried gluing a metal sconce to ceramic tile in the bathroom. The bond was so weak it tore off very quickly, after I had let it set for 12 hours without touching it. Second I tried gluing vinyl plastic to vinyl plastic. Again I waited beyond the recommended 8 hour cure time. The bond was so poor it tore off inside of a day.

Maybe I had bad luck and bought a bad batch, or an old batch ? Date of manufacture was not shown on the packaging.

Maybe I should have applied strong clamping pressure, but in both the above cases it was not possible to do so, and the result was unacceptably poor. Most glues would have done much better than this product.

It depends on the material, and that is clearly outlined in the details. There are extra steps, wetting surfaces and putting together than taking apart for 5 minutes, but it is worth it.

the glue worked for a while but did't stay bonded. The good part of it was the fact that it was easy to clean the glue off when it came apart. I used the glue to stick a a patch to a leather chair.

This glue is excellent for many purposes. It seems to be quite strong and durable. I have used it for a 4"x6" pressure treated beam that is outdoors and is splitting and has held up well, even in direct sunlight. I have used it for other household repairs and I like the flexibility it has. It has just enough flex to it and yet be strong. It would not be good for ceramics as a complaint from another reviewer tried to use it for.

You can use it as a contact adhesive and let both pieces to be glued dry a little before pressing together. The only slight negative is it does take a while to dry. SOmething else I wish this had is larger packaging than .75 oz. Really good stuff though.

I'm using this on the advice of a fellow mid century ashtray afficianado. The product description says nothing about glass and plastic, but I'm using it to glue plastic buttons to the backs of ceramic ashtrays ... and it's working. This was the fourth product I tried, and the only one that worked! No smell either!
