Really wanted this thing to work for our baseball team. First time I use it, works like a champ! Great cooling mist. Five minutes later, NOTHING. The motor was trying to make some mist happen, but it's like it gets vapor lock after five minutes and just stops working. The seal between the telescoping pole pieces popped loose and left us with a portable fountain.

It comes with a warranty, and a phone number to call for service. I've called everyday for two weeks, ALL I GET IS AN ANSWERING MACHINE to no where.

Save your money and use a squirt bottle.

I ordered this product last week and charged it the 8 hours recommended and turned it on with just the motor running with NO MISTING. Maybe this is just a fluke but can't comment on it if it didn't even work. Only good thing was the shipping.

We travel to food festivals all over the country during the summer months. Looking for ways to stay cool on the hot pavement, we purchased a Liquid Shade. We love the thing. Our team competes in in barbecue contests and we have two national sponsors. We use our Liquid Shade to attract folks to our site as a way to bring attention to our sponsors. We've used it a ton and it's a total workhorse. I got on Amazon to purchase a second unit and read the two other reviews. I NEVER write product reviews, but the Liquid Shade was getting a bad wrap based on what's been written here. We love our unit and just ordered a second one.

So I decided to give this a shot based on the one good review. I knew I should have listened to the bad reviews. The unit arrived from the shipper in good condition, and I followed all the instructions on charging and assembly. But the unit is DOA. I flip the power switch and nothing. No motor whirring no water... The customer service number they supply with the documentation haws been disconnected. I guess this company went out of business and didn't tell anyone. Stay away, stay far away....

I found a cache of these NIB at my local Salvation Army for $50/pc. If the one I got doesn't work, I'm going back for more!

I bought my Liquid Shade at the end of last summer. It worked great the first time and then like others, stopped working. I tore the thing apart several times and I finally ended up getting ahold of the guy who designed it and had him send me replacement parts. It now works great and I bought a 30ft misting hose that attaches to it and I connect that to my sunshade and thats works even better, doesnt last as long so I have to take extra water with me.
