Very soulful and delicate music by Cultured Pearls. I could never image a CD, providing intelligent lyrics, great arrangements, very good songwriting and all these features combined presented by an english-speaking but yet german band from Hannover, Germany. As a fan of (the quiet different) production styles of Tom Dowd and Barry Beckett (among others) I've been disappointed whenever I listened to german rock and pop music for at least 20 years, I guess. This production (under participation of mousse t.) fits international standards and introduces germany to the score of countries of high standard and soulful productions. Astrid North and her two fellow songwriters offer 50 minutes of very individual (not to use the term "unique") soul, pop and jazzy tunes with catchy melodies, which (in my opinion) have the power to satisfy an auditorium of distinction worldwide. Looking at the german set of circumstances this fact is new. congrats. four and a half stars.

I can't believe this amazing group is not better distributed around the world. Their CDs are so hard to find, yet they do music better than a lot of more reknown pop/soul groups of America and Europe. They remain undiscovered for most. Great voice, soulful melodies, and rich, eloborate arrangements. I really hope their 4 amazing albums will soon be discovered by the world. It even seems their music is getting better with every album. Also check the amazing "Life on a Tuesday", as intensely beautiful as "Liquefied days".
