Fast cars, fights, sex and alcohol...,

Best double-entendre album title ever...Liquor In The Front - Poker In The Rear. This sucker rocks hard and needs to be played loud. Sounds like The Cramps on steroids. Produced by Al Jourgensen (Ministry) it even has an industrial-rockabilly number called "Yeah, Right". All the songs are about fast cars, fights, sex and alcohol. My personal favorite is "Five-O Ford". Another fave is "Jezebel" which I would have sworn was a cover but it was written by the band. They also do a disgusting drunken version of "The Entertainer"

Though they're all good, this is probably his most popular, and best album. It rocks suprisingly hard, and I don't know of anything as good in the genre. The combo of "Big Sky" and "Baddest Of The Bad" is an excellent start. "Five-O Ford" and "I Can't Surf" are both pretty aggressive, while "In Your Wildest Dreams" is almost lounge-ish. There's also a good dose of humor running through alot of these songs, and mostly in the last track. The "Reverend Horton Heat" may be called rock-a-billy, but he's no "Stray Cats", unless you cross him with "Ministry" that is. "Holy Roller" is his "Best Of" by the way.

Smokin hot guitar jams!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Liquor in the Front (Audio CD)
this album jams hard, fast, and long. Incredible guitar work that rocks and swings at the same time. i love every song. Intense rockouts and some slower ballads give good balance and the humorous lyrics are entertaining. Big sky and Cruisin for a bruisin contain killer guitar playing, while In your wildest dreams chills out and is still a killer song. If you play guitar you'll definately pick up some experience points just by listening to the REV ROCKIN OUT!! Listening while cruisin down the road is a must so bring your leadfoot!!!
