I have to give her 5 stars for such an upfront, honest CD.

It's been about four years since Lisa's last album and it's about time. I love that this album is alot more personal in that she wrote or co-wrote 6 of 11 songs.

First off her voice is one of the best in any kind of music secular of christian. So, it's a pleasure just listening to that. If you've heard her other albums this one is more along the lines of "Love of Heaven" than "My Freedom" and "All Because of You".

Another thing that Lisa does on this album is continue her tradition of dedicating/writing songs for the girls at Place In The Sun. "The Look", "Safe With Me" and "Life Is A Mystery" are for those girls.

I highly suggest that you buy this album. If you listen, you'll learn alot about life.

I was drawn to this song ever since I heard it on the radio. I don't get a lot of the words of songs very easily, but, for some reason, i was drawn to this ... i thought because of the music and just the simple phrases "How strong He is" and "cause we are weak." Not typically, I would just put the CD player on repeat this track over and over and over. Finally I read what the verses are saying. "You hiding your thoughts and keeping the world always laughing, but down deep in your soul you are dying hurt that has not healed start to cry for their freedom and wings that you need to fly are broken." WOW. That is me. Thanks to God, who Lisa credited for writing it ... to me. Praise be the the Lord for his strength and faithfulness.

It is a pleasure to give Lisa Bevill's latest CD a 5-star rating. Lisa is a great singer, and this is a wonderful collection of songs. Every track is done well, with good back-up and instrumental, all well-balanced so that we can hear Lisa. The singer and the lyrics are well worth hearing. Even without reading the personal notes about each song, it is clear that this is straight from the heart. We journey into real life here; some of the songs are quite moving, and there is a range of pace and style. This is the best album I have heard in a long time. I am enjoying listening to it while driving. I am looking forward to cool autumn weekend afternoons, when I can retreat from the week and rest in an easy chair and put this CD on and give it my full attention. This is a lovely CD to own and one I will be happy to give as a gift.

Well done, Lisa, and everyone who contributed to this album. I hope that many more will hear it and be blessed.

...exactly what I needed to hear during my divorce a couple years ago. I first heard this song while driving across Indiana on I70 on a business trip. I heard the words and knew that it expressed what was on my heart and what had been unsaid--that I needed to let go and 'let Jesus'. So many of my christian brothers and sisters were saying the same thing to me, but not so clearly or movingly as this song.

There are many other songs on this disc that are also so heartfelt and meaningful. You need to listen to these songs and make them part of your worship!

I see everyone gave this CD great reviews, but I wasn't impressed. I am a huge Bevill fan and her other CD's such as "Love of heaven" have been played over & over again. This CD didn't embrace me. I thought it was boring and each song being too repititious.

I had this several years ago and it was stolen. Loved getting another disc. Lisa Bevill is awesome and her music is great. She sings with passion and her music has presence. If you are looking for something that will move you and cause your heart to be lifted this is for you.
