About the Author
Kathy Mazyck has always been fascinated with reading books and magazines. Whether it's creating stories or journaling, she also had a deep love for writing since it was therapeutic for her. She has been writing and sketching since her childhood. Her literary inspirations are Langston Hughes, Lorraine Hansberry, Zora Neale Hurston and Countee Cullen. She felt their work came to life, especially when she saw it manifested in film and on stage. Kathy also loves to teach and learn more about history. Her most important part of her life is her faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. She is an US Army veteran, serving for over four years. Kathy is now an English and Social Studies teacher in her hometown of Jersey City, New Jersey. She is also a divorced mother of two beautiful daughters Kristina and Monique. Kathy is working on her second novel entitled, "Barely under Water."
