Used it to take window crank off 2000 dodge dakota. Worked great. Pushes u-clip off far enough to remove handle but, does not make the clip fly off so you lose it. Used the other end to push clip back on before snapping handle back on and it worked great.

Does not work on a Hyundai Accent. Tried for an hour, all I ended up doing was scratching the door panel. What did work was a towel trick I found on Youtube, and it was free.

I used this window clip remover tool to remove and replace my windows door handle on my Toyota Corolla. The windows door handle broke off. I asked some auto mechanics if they could fix it but they only grumbled and gave me no confidence they could fix it. Luckily I found a parts dealer and got the exact color and model of windows crank handle. I did buy another window clip remover from another retailer but this Lisle 18600 was cheaper. It turned out during use that this was the best I found. It helps both removal of windows crank handle and installation of new windows crank handle. I highly recommend it. My windows crank handle looks like new and I did not pay some auto mechanic an outrageous price to replace it.

Good, high quality tool that appears to be able to get the job done. Unfortunately, the idiot that owned the car before me EPOXIED the window crank onto the mount so I wasn't able to use it. Hello grinder :-(

Was able to extract window crank clips from my Toyota's doors. Had to press on the door panel to expose the clip and then a good deal of force on the Lisle tool with back and forth movement. Even then the clip often fell into the door itself to be fished out once the panel was removed. When reinstalling if the handle position when window is fully up is of importance to you (per manufacturer recommendation) and you are off angle, you may get to remove the clip AND door panel to retrieve the clip and do it all over again... and again. Works better than anything else I have tried including dragging a rag back and forth as proposed by some on the internet.

5 stars for doing just as it says it does. It makes this job a whole lot easier and quicker. That being said, the chances of you having to mess with a roll up door handle clip are few and far between ( for most people ) So if its worth the money spent depends on your need for this tool. There are other ways to get the clip in and out, but their time consuming and awkward.

I have a 2013 Silverado and needed to change out the front speakers. I did not have this tool when changing the front speakers on my 2008 GMC Sierra and wish that I did. It's well worth having this tool instead of making due with screw drivers and such. Plus, the cost of the tool is still much less than paying someone to replace the speakers.
