This unit works as advertised. It comes packaged and also looks to be fair quality. I buy lots of tools and can tell you this one is worth the cost.

You're wasting your time if you don't buy this tool. It made taking the steering wheel off of my '93 Buick Regal a breeze and let me get to the ignition in a jiff.

Great tool to use on tilt columns...much better than
the tapered shaft design. Works quickly and is easy to
carry when I visit the local salvage yards.

I have done several tilt wheels in the past and did so without the Pivot Pin Remover tool. I finally broke down and bought one and man life is so much nicer with this tool. A 2 hour job is now about 30 minutes.

I used this tool to remove the tilt pins on my 1989 Chevy pickup to fix the loose steering wheel problem common with this model pickup. It worked just fine. I assume it wouldn't be just real difficult to make your own tool but this didn't cost that much. You will need a tool like this to take the tilt pins out and this tool is not found with the rental steering wheel kits.

The item came almost 5 days earlier than planned, and it worked perfectly. Within 2 minutes I had all of the pivot pins pulled, and one of them was extremely stubborn. This thing had no problem. Can't see a reason to spend 20 bucks for equivalent product. This thing worked great.
