Much easier and faster than a c-clamp.
JCUPHERE
Makes retracting the piston into the caliper for disc brake pad replacement easy, and helps to do so evenly, preventing damage to the piston.

The first time I used the tool the glue on the knob failed and, instead of loosening the clamp to remove the whole thing, the knob just came right off. That left the tool stuck on the caliper. Luckily I was able to remove it with some pliers, but having to deal with the stress of the tool breaking on my first brake pad replacement was something I didn't need.

It's so nice when you have the right tool for the job. Makes compressing brake pistons so much easier, no more clamps (or pry bars in some cases).
Seems pretty solid and well built, I expect it to last.

Its a great simple tool. I was about to buy the good old C-Clamp for pushing the caliper piston back but this thing just cost me 10 bucks and is very strong and great tool. A must have i would say.

Makes retracting the piston into the caliper for disc brake pad replacement easy, and helps to do so evenly, preventing damage to the piston. Get one of these, forget about C-clamps.

This little gadget works great for doing brake jobs! Just make sure to read up on your car's specific procedure for changing the pads. My car, for example, requires a another tool to turn the inside cylinder of the caliper in a certain direction to decompress 2 of the 4 calipers. The other (front?) calipers are decompressed using this tool. I wasted 30 minutes and almost a damaged caliper before I found out I didn't need this tool for 1/2 of my car's calipers.

I would say MOST vehicles require this type of tool to decompress their calipers. I've used it on a Honda S2000 (on 2 calipers), Honda CRV and Acura TL-S with no problems.

Much faster and less bulky than using C-clamps or other home-brewed fixes. Working on cars is hard enough: using the correct tools the first time saves you not only time (which is money), but also busted knuckles and a lot of frustration. The only thing I would improve is to modify it so that it will turn the parking brake calipers as well as push them.

*That* would be the perfect product.

I'm sure this product is good for some vehicles; however, I found a C Clamp worked best for my Honda Ridgeline.
I'm going to keep this tool in my tool museum and maybe use it for another vehicle.

The tool worked great on the first set of pads. Went to do the other side and the threaded rod broke loose from the knob. NOT recommended.
