I had purchased a cheap CV Boot Clamp Plier along with this one.

The cheap one broke after about 6 uses but this one is excellent and will allow you to properly use torque wrenches with it, if you desire.

Definitely buy this one, you won't regret it!

This is a quality tool by Lisle. A local auto parts store was selling one for twice as much and it was made in China, unlike this Lisle one made in the USA.

These are extremely good pliers for crimping the Oeticker type clamps prevalent in many modern automotive uses (notably CV joint and steering rack boots). They are VERY heavy duty, and should stand up to many years of use without problems.

I recently bought these pliers for use on my BMW motorcycle. the pliers were easy to use and made the job simpler.

This was the last tool I needed to finish about $2000 of work on my Audi.

It worked perfectly, is solidly made, and looks like it will last a lifetime.

Purchased this tool to complete the CV Joint replacement on my 2006 Jetta TDI. The local shops didn't carry this tool and when I did find it across town, it was more than $35 for a tool inferior to this one. The tool is a very sturdy build. Crimps "ear" style bands effortlessly. 1/2" for torque wrench, when necessary. Would purchase again.

I;;ve used Lisle tools before a lot of auto parts stores don;t carry them .Another thing to remember every time you buy a different vehicle you are going to need special tools just for that one vehicle the tools pay for them selves.

the best clamp ever i bought, work really good and can be extend for bigger c clamps to tight it better.
