Works fine with two suggestions. Use a little light oil on die and cone to save on wear on the tool. Make sure your die is level both directions before doing the first flare.

Had to return it simply b/c when you tighten the blocks they are not even. It causes and forces you to keep an eye on the two blocks to make sure they are evenly lined up with each other. Not having the wing nuts makes this one of the better products. One way around the issue is to tighten both nuts slowly and as you get tighter use a vise to keep them aligned otherwise if you flare you will not get a the opening dead center on the tube.

This is a well made product, incorporating improvements from previous no name units i have owned. Both the tubing holder and the flaring tool require a wrench to tighten, eliminating the wing nuts and bar that always seems to bend and or break. The base of the flaring tool is heavy, to prevent bending.

As I read in another review, the ability to use a wrench to tighten and flare the tubing is a great way to go. This tool is so much easier to use than my other normal single flare tool. Great design.

Open the flaring tool and look for the instruction sheet. Follow them and you will make the nicest double flare you ever seen. Bought a very expensive flaring tool long time ago always had to replace the most used tip because it broke off. Not with this one!! It works great.

The picture shows a nice plastic case for the flaring tool and all the mandrels. However, this ships in a thin plastic overwrap and it's really easy to lose the mandrels. The flaring tool works perfectly on mild steel and aluminum lines.
