Product Description

Two hook sizes easily remove most oil and grease seals. Where clearance is a problem, remove the pin to reposition the head. The adjustable head works great on front wheel drive transaxles. Also works on front crankshaft seals without removing the radiator.

Just used this to pull the OptiSpark seal on my '96 Impala SS. With this tool, it took seconds and the adjustable nature of the tool allowed it to work without any contortions or removing other parts.

It is a very solid tool with tight moving parts. It is very easy to adjust though.

Top improvement on the normal hook type seal puller.
The angled head takes this type of tool to the next level, you can really line it up and get the pull angle spot on for busting out those stuck seals.

Great build quality very handy. Only thing I would like to see unless I have not worked out how to use it properly is to be able to have the head lock out at 90 degrees to the handle. Had to pull a seal from the back of the engine with the gear box / bell housing just pushed back to save work and having the handle at 90 degrees to the head would have made it easier to get the tool in between the engine and bell housing. But overall do not bother buying an ordinary nonadjustable one, get this without any hesitation and I dare say it would not have taken too much work to drill a hole in the head to have it lock out at 90 degrees to the handle but I will have to have a think about it I am sure there is a reason they haven't done it I just can't see it for the moment probably for leverage but like I said in that really tight space it would have been handy.

I want to let anyone who is replacing the Optispark Seal to know this tool is the best way to go. I pulled, beat and chipped around the seal last weekend for about 30 mins and could not get it out. I watched videos of guys pulling the seal with screw drivers and a hammer or big pliers...none of the approaches worked for me; all they did was mangle the seal. Anyway I just pull the seal in 5 minutes. It took 4 minutes to figure out the best angle to set the tool. I would advice buying this one with the adjustable head! Hopefully this write up will save someone the headache I had. Just get the hook on the inside of the seal and hit it with a rubber mallet; it worked for me.

Used to pull multiple seals on my Range Rover Classic. Worked well and the adjustable head was great for getting good angles, especially on the differential pinion seals (didn't even have to jack up the car to do this). For the price it is a no-brainer and a heck of a lot better than using screw drivers or other general purpose tools.

Great seal puller.

Lisle makes two of these. This one and their non-adjustable one.

Do yourself a favor and just get this one. I originally got the non adjustable one and it worked great! Then I came into a tight situation and needed one that (you guessed it) need to be at an angle....lol

Not a big deal the non adjustable is like 9 bucks... but still I would have been better off with this one from the start. It can be completely straight if need be, or adjusted both left and right.

Only thing I do NOT like is the stupid plastic rubber handle that slips off the tool after every use. I am going to dip the end in that rubber compound or add some rtv inside then slip it back on so it won't come off again.

Nice tool, typical Lisle!

This is a high quality Lisle tool at an affordable price. I own the non adjustable version & wanted to add the adjustable one to my toolbox after my last seal replacement job. I was able to remove the seals but the adjustable option would have made the job easier. The adjustment pin is easy to remove and insert & the handle rotates smoothly. The tool is made in the USA & the pin is replaceable if you lose it. My wish would be for Lisle to redesign the tool so the quick release pin stays with handle hole so that it could snap back in to the appropriate hole when rotated to eliminate the possibility of losing the pin that is destined to happen. I still recommend the tool without this feature but it would be nice to eliminate the removable part.

I spent too many hours over several days trying to remove the oil seal from the tailshaft of the automatic transmission in my 1999 Mustang - being careful not to damage the aluminum housing. You Tube videos and suggested techniques were not effective. So I ordered this tool via Amazon (way better price than at the auto supply store). With some trepidation I slid under the car, inserted the tool and with one twist - out popped the seal. The ability to set the angle of attack with the Lisle seal puller makes a huge difference when you are laying on your back and the car is 6 inches from your nose. If you even THINK you may need a seal puller, get this one now.
