I've been trying to get a proper opt-in email list going on my e-commerce site for some time now but have run into many difficulties. I've wasted money on a great number of books on this topic and they have all failed to give me the information I need to succeed in any form that is easy to follow and comprehend. At the recommendation of a friend, I obtained a copy of this book in hopes of refining my website's opt-in email list to gain more traffic and sales. I have been impressed since the moment I opened this book as the author does an excellent job of explaining the steps that are necessary to create a large, successful email opt-in list in great detail. Furthermore, despite the large volume of knowledge contained in this book, the manner in which it is written makes it easy to follow and as a result, easy to understand and implement. The advice builds on itself as you delve further into the book and by the time you reach the end you have a very good understanding of what things you can do create a successful opt-in email subscriber list. I highly recommend this book to anyone trying to increase their website traffic and/or sales through creating a well-designed opt-in email list. A+

List Builder Magic: How To Build a Huge Opt-in Email list contained some very helpful information. Unfortunately, most of the links included in the book are no longer active so the information was incomplete. But, a approximately 60% of the information is still relevant. Also, the book cover shows George Slater, but he was just the editor not the author, which was a little confusing.
The book was written with summaries at the end of each chapter, which was very helpful. When I wanted specific information it was very easy to find.
I could not find a "date written" before purchasing the book. The date would have told me that the book was not current on all the information.

I've been hearing that line (the money is in the list) for years, but I needed more than that. I needed to know how to get people to opt-in, what to tell them, and what to try to sell them. Even better if it came with examples and specifics about what to do. That's why I'm glad I found this book. If you are trying to get into email marketing or internet marketing, and you aren't quite sure where to begin, then this book takes a step-by-step approach to describing how the process works, what tools you should use, and how to best take advantage of it. A great book for anyone to learn about how to use this kind of method to make serious money.

More About the Author

George Slater (1963-present) was born and grew up in Bristol, UK. He's lived and worked in the UK, Switzerland and now Australia, where he lives with his wife and family. For many years he sold Oracle based software and applications and also opened a restaurant in the UK. He's lectured at a number of Universities on Information Technology and Applications.

In 1997 George obtained his MBA from the University of the West of England, Bristol. There he wrote his first book titled "The Strategic Effect of Management Change within Reseller Relationships".

His next book "Retire Rich" was written as a challenge from his Financial Adviser when he saw the need for a step by step guide for any expats who wanted to move and consolidate their retirement savings into Self-Managed Superannuation Funds in their new country of residence.

Following on from his George has published a number of business how to books on CRM and the ways to maximize profits from the correct implementation of these systems. George has won a number of international awards using leading CRM and technology systems. He has in depth knowledge and experience in the return on investment planning and harvesting of new Application projects.
