Product Description

It's prom season, and no town does prom like Tinsel Town. Ben is back for the summer -- just in time to be Anna's prom date. But his family has a house guest who's so hot, she's bound to burn up their perfect plans. Adam finds out a scandalous secret that threatens to tear Cammie's world to pieces. Sam agrees to take Parker to the prom and they end up doing a lot more than dancing. What happens when Sam's romance-obsessed boyfriend Eduardo flies in from Paris to surprise Sam? This prom is sure to be glamorous, and occasionally downright shocking! It's just the kind of night the A-List crew will never forget.

4.0 out of 5 stars a great book for young women, May 31, 2006
By
The A-Listers return for a Hollywood-style prom in their sixth book --- but you won't find cheesy matching dresses, flowers and cummerbunds here. It's couture all the way for a prom that will be on the film set of Sam's father's remake of Ben Hur.

Romance is in the air with a lot of doubts and insecurities. Anna is conflicted about Ben's return for the summer. She's so happy to be able to spend real time with him, but what's up with family friend Maddy who's living in his house now? Maddy is a formerly obese girl who came from the Midwest for a stomach stapling and lifestyle makeover. She's sweet as candy, but she does seem to have a crush on Ben. Still, after everything they've been through, Anna can trust him, right?

After she gets a chain belt with Adam's initials dangling as charms, Cammie has a big fight with him. He thought she asked him to help investigate the mysterious disappearance of her mother, but when he does, she's not ready to handle it --- or the fact that Adam knows about it too. Things come to a head on Prom night when everyone else is enjoying a magical evening. Can this odd couple stay together?

Dee gets a leave of absence from her hospital for Prom and immediately falls for Ben's Princeton roommate, Jack. She is sane and together for the first time in a long while, but there is something about Prom that gives these two an unforgettable blind date.

Sam hates the idea of Prom. When she finds out about a documentary contest, she decides to offer a snarky look at how ridiculous it really is. When she starts meeting with the prom committee girls, she thinks that making fun of them and their silly event will be so easy. But when one location has a fire, Sam begins getting more involved. While busy saving Prom, she continues her hot romance with Eduardo. It's too bad he can't come to the big dance, so she's taking her friend Parker, who looks really good in his tux and is so nice. Sam grows tired of worrying if Eduardo likes more sophisticated women and drinks too much at the after-Prom party, which leads to appreciating Parker too much.

There is plenty of romance and intrigue in this book, but some of the best parts of this series are when the gal pals work together. The young women generously team up here to make over Maddy for her own fabulous prom. That scene will make fashion lovers drool as the ladies are fitted with luscious designer wear that readers will covet. SOME LIKE IT HOT has plenty for A-List fans to enjoy.

It's that time of year... prom!!!

Anna and Ben are finally together, but will an attractive girl staying at the Birnbaum's mess with their relationship again?

Cammie and Adam are doing well, until Cammie finds out more about the night her mother died.

Sam is happy with where she's at with Eduardo, until he tells her that he won't be able to come to her prom... or can he?

Drama is abound once more in the juicy sixth book.
