4.0 out of 5 stars Top Notch Renditions (In The main), September 19, 2005
By
Zephyr (Melbourne, Australia) - See all my reviews
I was given this collection as a gift, but like collecting original Dylan as well as good interpretations. This is great stuff from mainly unknown acts (to me anyway apart from local band Kisschasy). I love most of it and it grows on me everytime I play it. Best tracks are RX bandits take on "Hattie Carroll", both Steel Train tracks, Jenoahs "Man In Me" and the Formats version of "Simple Twist". As I'm now 50 all these tracks are well known in the original versions to me and I enjoy the exhuberence of these new versions except for "Rainy Day Women" which I didn't like as an original anyway!

5.0 out of 5 stars easy listening, July 11, 2006
I found this cd to be so much more than I expected. It is so great to hear Dylan's songs retouched by individual artists. Every song is different while keeping a steady flow of easy listening music. It was also a surprise to find James Blunt among the group of artists. Roark and Steel Train are my favorites but I really enjoy it all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Dylan Tribute, June 3, 2006
By
GleCassie (Binghamton, NY) - See all my reviews
I bought this cd because I like Dylan and my teenaged kids do, too. They introduced me to "emo" groups and I am open to listening to all music. I don't like all emo bands but some of the bands on this particular cd did a great job. I particularly like Dave Melillo - he has a voice that actually sounds trained. Another great is Jason Mraz who does a wonderful job. I agree with everyone that Rainyday should've been dumped - I've never liked it. Give this cd a chance and don't put people down because they are young ... still learning and growing. Remember Dylan was young once, too :)
