Book Description

An inspiring collection of poems, meditations, and lyrics by one of the world’s most revered musical legends
Bob Marley’s music defined a movement and forever changed a nation. Known worldwide for their message of peace and unity, Marley’s songs—from “One Love” to “Redemption Song” to “Three Little Birds”—have touched millions of lives. This collection is the best of Bob Marley presented in three parts: “The Man,” giving an in-depth look into the life of Bob Marley; “The Music,” comprising his most memorable lyrics as well as links to many of his songs on Amazon.com; and “The Revolution,” containing his meditations on social equality and the Rastafari movement. Enriched with iconic photographs, Listen to Bob Marley provides insight into a reggae legend, the inspirational man behind the music.

This ebook features an introduction by daughter Cedella Marley and an illustrated biography of Cedella including rare photographs from her personal collection.

Editorial Reviews

Review

“Marley was the Third World’s first pop superstar. He was the man who introduced the world to the mystic power of reggae. He was a true rocker at heart, and as a songwriter, he brought the lyrical force of Bob Dylan, the personal charisma of John Lennon, and the essential vocal stylings of Smokey Robinson into one voice.” —Jann Wenner, cofounder and publisher of Rolling Stone

2.0 out of 5 stars Odd little e-book July 1, 2012
By Jeff
Format:Kindle Edition
This book goes from Bob being born to his death in less than 15 pages. This isn't a book your going to learn anything from. The rest of it is filled with random quotes and lyrics from Bob. Some nice pictures, nothing that hasn't been seen before or rare. I wish for some of the quotes they would tell you where they came and/or taken from. I'm guessing many come from interviews he did or a speech or two. Lots of lyrics quotes. One whole section in the beginning repeats itself in several spots. The last 10 pages or so has a bio of Cedella Marley, which to be honest completely threw me off guard. Its not so much a bio than 10 pages of bragging about how she basically runs anything with the words bob marley on it. Wasn't this a book about BOB MARLEY? For the price, if your a fan, I'd say check it out but in the end you will feel ripped off.

Bob Marley is Reggie music! He is the foundation of Reggie music. His legacy will live on forever. His children are also his and our lasting treasure as they have stepped into their fathers footsteps to carry on his music.
