I purchased two of these because I live in an apartment and need to keep my loud tv lower. Both sound like you are in a tunnel and very monotone. But most annoying is that the sound of the device moving around or being touched hurts your ears if the device is turned up enough to hear a low tv. The ad shows a man holding it in his hand. Holding it in your hand is impossible because the loud pops you hear from the Listen Up. I also had problems order the products and would never buy again from the web site company again.

I could actually hear the tv BETTER when I took the ear buds OUT of my ears, it picked up every other sound in the room almost like a stethoscope being held up to everything except the tv. The dog barked and I nearly had a heart attack it was so deafening. Just holding it in my hand made sounds so loud I couldn't stand it.

I hate to admit it, but I fell for the advertisement. If you think this will work you will probably buy xray glasses.

This is junk, save your money. It sounds like your in a garbage can with the tinny sound. By the way, the garbage can is where it belongs

This is one purchase that i wish i hadn't bought. It is like one of those cheap $0.50 toys you can get from the super market except it is worse. it picks up every single little sound from your foot step to your clothes rustling. I can barely here the things around me because my clothes are sooooooo loud!

This works great for me. I first started using this a few years back for various meetings I had to attend. I now use it for watching TV at night so I don't disturb my neighbors in our apartment building. For those of you who are complaining about sound quality, buy a better headset. Yes, it does pick up every sound in the room. It's an Amplifier people. The only time I ever had a problem was with a unit that had a faulty switch, and the company replaced it free of charge. I think there are too many people who are expecting something for nothing. This is a very affordable solution for those of us without the resources to get high tech hearing aids that filter out background noise($600 an ear for the good ones). I'm very happy with this ...it does what I want it to do.

This product has proven to be a great tool for my 95-year-old father. It has really given him back enough of his hearing to participate in one-on-one conversations. Hate that it is no longer available.!

Great Product - originally purchased for my father and have now purchased 13 of them for all of his friends. I guess it works.

cant get it on without loud static have to play with volume switch to get it to work

more than 1/2 of these marketed as "listen-up" (and any that look the same) come from the same factory in China. The current batch out there is more than 50% likely to be defective. When you get one that works it is fine. I recommend buying it locally if possible since returning the likely defective one is not worth the time.
