Considering Casey did not write the winner's single she did well with what she was given.I purchased the full album at a live performance she gave in Perth, I liked it.Casey has an all around good voice and she would do very well with her own material.

You got to remember that (nearly) every Idol winning has brought out their first single dripping with cheese and even though this is no exception at least the message is great "Listen With Your Heart" is beautifully sung and you know exactly that it's coming from her heart. She won the series because of her voice and she had no choice on her first single but I still think it's a beautiful song. I believe Casey will be around for awhile once she gets to do her own thing.

Casey Donovan might have won Australian Idol, but her debut single has failed to please the fans nor the charts.

Selling only platinum status after nearly 1 month of sales made her the lowest selling winner or even runner-up. The reason is the song is a remake of a relatively unknown american singer Cece Winans, and the song is just not good enough to make an impressive impact.

Sorry Casey. Hope you release something better next time round. In the meantime, strongly NOT RECOMMENDED.

I am basing my review solemnly on the first track, by the way - and the number of songs it includes.

I thought I'd give this single it's first review. Please note that this single went 2x platinum in its first week, and debuted at #1, then went down to number 2, and this week (its third) it stands at #4 - still double platinum in Australia (meaning has sold 2x70 000 copies = 140 000). Her album went 3x Platinum in it's frist week, and this week, it's second week of release, it sits at #11. Now, to the review::

I purchased Cosima's album, which was written by Dianne Warren alone (also the writer of this song) and it didn't reach my expectations. It was just a bit corny, lacked originality, and didn't reflect anything that occured in everyday life - same with this song.

I've heard A LOT of postive comments with the album "For You". My relative said the album is actually good! And Casey describes it as a mix of George (whom I absolutely love) and her own style - but this review isn't about George it's about Casey Donovan - the winner of Australian Idol - who is only 16 and admites that she smokes cigarrettes, which I think is a VERY bad career move. It even turned ME of her when I heard this from my peers.
So, do I recommend this single? NO
Do I recommend her album? YES
