5.0 out of 5 stars The Song at a Crossroads, October 12, 2011

Melanie Amaro singing "Listen" on the X-Factor on September 22, 2011 brought me down on my knees, and got Simon Cowell up on his feet. Everyone glows brightly like the Harmoniums of Mercury before this force of Nature. I was motivated to learn more about the song.

"Listen" was originally sung by Beyoncè Knowles, who is one of the writers of the song along with Henry Krieger, Scott Cutler, and Anne Preven.

It's about being yourself. There is a song in everyone's heart, and you, above all and everyone else, you must listen to the "sound from deep". The distraction of others who "won't listen" must never allow your dreams be "pushed aside". When you're "alone at a crossroads" you will have the opportunity to listen "To the song here in [your] heart".

I picked the best of the sound track #1. Listen takes my breath away and fills my heart with joy.
#2 I'm telling you I'm not leaving this song you just want to sing at the top of your lungs, not joyful just good.
