I have used both the intermediate and advanced versions of this book. I got the new edition of the advanced book and was very disappointed. I don't like the topics of the lectures as well as the earlier edition. They weren't as clearly organized as the others. The professors seemed to ramble more. Furthermore, I didn't like the outlines for the lectures they gave in the new book. Finally, I didn't find as many note-taking tips. If you can, get the earlier edition of this book.
