2.0 out of 5 stars Good heart - poorly written book, April 24, 2008
This review is from: Listening to the Spirit Within: 50 Perspectives on Faith (Paperback)
Roland has a good heart and message but he definately needs to get an editor. I suspect this book might have been self published with no pre-reading or editing from others. It was full of spelling errors (first paragraph of the book) and poorly written rambling that drew my attention away from the actual good-hearted content. I am certainly not an expert in these areas but most of the stuff jumped out at me. Perhaps I received an early release.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very much a book on self-aggrandizement, August 26, 2008
This review is from: Listening to the Spirit Within: 50 Perspectives on Faith (Paperback)
Roland tried to put in writing something he doesn't do in person. You cannot publically demean others and expect his message to reach his readers. He doesn't practice what he preaches. His mischaracterizations publically gives him the impression that he thinks of himself as an elitist qualified to render an opinion about subjects he has little knowledge of.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Spirit Within, November 3, 2008

This review is from: Listening to the Spirit Within: 50 Perspectives on Faith (Paperback)
I was glad to read his perspectives on Faith. It is good to know that some of our leaders are actually reading the bible and realizing that there are spirits that causes us to do the right thing or the wrong thing. There are only two spirits in the world. God's spirit and the spirit of the Devil. God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Jn 4:24. There is validity to what he is saying because he interjects his personal life. His life reflects the commonalty of most people. It is always good to have knowledge but without the wisdom of God what you accomplish will not last. We must acknowledge that God is the supreme being and he has total control over our lives.
