Shapiro outlines the forgotten truth about how effective and productive communication takes place. What he suggests in his book is obvious and seemingly simple methodology, yet not easy to carry out. This book is a wonderful reminder of how important it is to ask and listen rather than to talk and talk more and challenges the reader to become a more caring and effective listener when dealing with the many relationships in one's life. I highly recommend it!

I was expecting platitudes -- or at least a rehash of all the advice I've ever heard about the importance of listening. Instead I found a fresh voice, a different angle, and a neat, concise, well-packaged message. In very few pages, the author painted a crystal clear picture of WHY I need to be a better listener and then went on to tell me HOW to accomplish it in a way that I felt empowered to immediately go out and do so. This book rises to the top of self-help/business literature because of the author's wonderful language skills and keen insights. It is important because it speaks of a skill that is important for ANY relationship, personal or professional.

This book is not only valuable for the network marketer, it is a must for those people you love and care for.

This book reminded of the importance of great listening and motivated me to improve my listening skills. It is a short book, but that is because the author get's to the point quickly and makes it clearly. Bravo!

This book is one of the best books that I have ever read.
If you find yourself cutting people off mid-sentence, finishing their sentences or not even listening to what they are talking about and just thinking about what you're going to say next. This is a must read for you.
Listening is one of the greatest & easiest skills you can learn and this book really opens your eyes to why it is so important to implement into your life.

Anyone who wants to improve their communication skills needs to read and re-read this book. It is a fast read with plenty of solid information.

A short book with good basic listening information.
I took 1 good idea out of it and that was worth the cost of the book.
I liked his audio tapes better,but it was still worth buying his book.

The sender charge the money to my account and never got the book. Terrible customer service, I did writte them an e-mail which was never answer.I am very, very disapointed if it was another rate I would give them minus 10.
