As a dentist of 20-plus years, I have seen the effectiveness of certain oral health products over a long period of time. Listerine is a product that has a postive effect on one's oral health, and perhaps one's health in general.

I am recommending to my patients that they brush their teeth and gums with Listerine 2-3 times a day. Patients can still brush with toothpaste if they would like, but it really is not necessary, as brushing with a toothpste is no more effective than brushing with a toothbrush with water. However, when one brushes with Listerine, the active ingredients in Listerine start killing oral bacteria. Gentle scrubbing of the gums and teeth will kill or inhibit the bacteria that cause cavities and gum gingivitis. Done twice a day, Listerine will keep your mouth cleaner and healthier.

Technique:

1. Pour a small amount of Listerine in one's mouth.

2. Brush teeth and gums gently (with mouth closed to prevent the Listerine from leaking out!) for at least 1-2 minutes.

3. Gargle with the Listerine in one's mouth and spit out.

4. Do not rinse off teeth

5. Brush 2-3 tims per day

Listerine is a good disinfectant. It will not only inhibit or kill oral bacterial that causes cavities and gum inflammation, it may also kill the bacteria and organisms that cause other diseases, such as colds and flus. Since using Listerine in this manner faithfully, my patients tell me they have less colds and flus.

Listerine is a great product. Choose a flavor that agrees with you - (blue or green colors) avoid the original yellow tinted Listerine. It tastes terrible and you will not want to use it daily.

This stuff is pretty good. Yeah my mouth feels real fresh after using this stuff. What it does with the germs, I don't know. Its a little strong so kids might not find it too nice.

I really like this product. I've tried just about every mouthwash on the market -- some of them more than once! I found the Listerine Cool Mint a very refreshing mouthwash. It left my mouth tingly and clean feeling, yet it wasn't too strong. Some mouthwashes I've tried have been so strong that they actually seem to ""burn"" your mouth. I'll continue to use the Listerine Mouthwash and recommend it highly. One other plus -- it's very competitively priced.

It had a pleasant mint taste and wasn't overpowering but made my mouth feel fresh. It left a good taste in my mouth and not an antiseptic taste that some do. It also seemed to make my breath smell good. I would definitely recommend this product.

I really like this mouthwash. It has great mint flavor and has a longer effect in your mouth than other mouthwashes. I'll definitely recommend it to my other friends.

I thoroughly enjoyed this product. I thought it was refreshing and I loved the minty taste. It was better tasting than the old Listerine, which I used because of its bacteria fighting qualities, even though I never cared much for the taste. Now that this minty version is out, I'll use it more and still get the same bacteria fighting qualities as the old one.

I love this product! It may burn, but it's one of the best for your teeth in the market. I asked my dentist what the best mouthwash is out there and he reccomended Listerine. For a product to improve my gums and teeth, the stinging burn is well worth it. And I haven't had a cavity since! Another thing that Listerine never fails, is when I have a canker sore. And we all know how painful those suckers are! Listerine seems to heal the canker sore twice as fast! That's another great thing that Listerine can do. :)

Before trying Listerine Mouthwash, I'd been using a generic brand of mouthwash. I can definitely tell a difference with the Listerine. My morning breath is better that it was before. The Listerine has a nice ""minty"" taste that lasts long after you use it. I'd certainly recommend this product!

It tasted very good, not ""sweet"" like so many other brands. Definitely a winner.
