I'm allergic to an ingredient that is found in most toothpastes. If I use such toothpastes I'll get cankers/mouth ulcers. For years, I've only used Listerine toothpaste - it's the only one that I've never reacted to. I was bummed a few years back when the changed the formulation, but I adjusted and still can't use anything else. My whole family is hooked now too.

This is my favorite and only toothpaste. It is impossible to find this tartar control version in ANY of the local stores, so I keep ordering it in 4-packs from Amazon.

This toothpaste does not have a lot of foam like a lot of the big brands and it gets teeth really clean. It seems to reduce the oral bacteria, just like Listerine mouthwash, so I never get scum mouth during the day or when waking up in the morning. I have had GREAT dental checkups the last 3 years since using (the hygienist said I should be an example for other patients) and my gums have never been in better health. For the record, I also use the Listerine Advanced tartar control mouthwash and floss daily.

My spouse and I think this is a super product and have used it for years. It is now hard to find, no one is stocking it anymore, even places that used to order it for us are no longer able to. Very disappointing. For the past twelve to fifteen years we have nearly exclusively used this toothpaste with excellent results. Our dentist even asked us what we used! I am so happy to find that at least it IS still being manufactured and we can order it on Amazon.

I used to work for the company that developed this product. I still use it today. It is now hard to find, but worth it.

My wife and I both use it and we have gotten great results over the years.

When this anti-Tartar toothpaste first came out it was accompanied with explanatory lit that explained how it killed gum disease bacteria or plaque with its 3 active ingredients, similar to that of the well-known Listerine mouthwash. At that time my Periodontist was forwarning me that my teeth were not long for this world due to my bad gum disease. A long time since I still have all those choppers, and very minimal flare up of Gingervitus, which I firmly believe, is due to this toothpaste, vigorous brushing with a stiff toothbrush (initially causes bleeding), and two visits annually for a gum cleaning. No credit due to the Listerine company whose experts that answer the hotline phone number don't even have the slightest concept what their Tartar Control toothpaste is. Recently the general outlets for Listerine toothpaste started offering a new product with flouride only in a very similar package. I bought some at A&P by mistake since it looked identical with "ESSENTIAL CARE" boldy printed on the box as usual. Fluoride is what all the other toothpaste companies have always been promoting (I'D say for 60 years) for anti-cavity protection. I shopped a dozen stores and found this Fluoride only paste at all of them. I panicked but then investigated the internet and found many sources for the original product and so I bought 2 boxes of tubes (8). Once I calculate how fast I (and my wife) use it, I'll buy a lifetime supply.

After reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I had to try this toothpaste. All of the rave reviews are right on point. This is by far the best toothpaste I have ever tried in my life. It leaves your mouth feeling incredibly fresh and powerfully clean as though you just had a professional cleaning. My husband had the same experience. Our dental hygienists could not find any trace of plaque. Use this toothpaste with the Phillips SonicCare Toothbrush for the ultimate experience in oral hygiene. We are hooked and hope to always have access to this product. It really is the best toothpaste ever.

This toothpaste is wonderful. It is especially good for people with gum problems. It is very difficult to find in drugstores and I am glad that I can buy it online from Amazon. Thanks!

This toothpaste has the same ingredients as the Listerine mouthwash. That makes it a very effective anti-tartar agent and great for the teeth and gums. It leaves your teeth feeling very clean as well.

We thought Listerine toothpaste would taste as awfully strong as their regular more popular mouthwash products. Not at all. It taste great with a strong mint flavor.

It borrows some of the ingredients from Listerine mouthwash to fight against plaque and gingivitis. It also has tartar control and anti-cavity formula.
