I'm a grad student and had been without dental insurance for a while. When I finally started working again I went to the dentist and discovered I needed 2 root canals and a 3rd that another dentist did incorrectly had to be redone. I've always been cavity prone, even with flossing 2x/day and brushing. When I got the bad news from my dentist I started using this (it's been about two years now). I just had my first check up with him since he completed all that work. NO Cavities!! I'll be using this forever.

I required a mouth wash that could help alleviate my cavity pain...I already had to do root canal for one of my teeth but to save other teeth which has cavities, I purchased this product. I personally find it bit expensive but still, nothing is expensive compared to oral hygiene...Though it does not reverse the decay process, it does not allow decay or cavity to worsen...so far I'm keeping a check on my cavities. So I could recommend this mouthwash to others as well...

I had been using ACT Restoring Mouthwash, but decided to try Listerine Tooth Defense. What a mistake! It is horrid! The flavor is as bad or worse than any medicine I ever had to take, and leaves me with a nasty medicine mouth and breath -- certainly not kissable.

The instructions are to swish the liquid around for a minute. The rinse burns my tongue and mouth so badly that I can't take it for more than 15 or 20 seconds.

And Listerine offers only this one nasty flavor. ACT offers several reasonable flavors, from mild to very minty. Why suffer burning and a wicked flavor when there is a better option for the same type of product?
