5.0 out of 5 stars for any LIST lover!
if you know anyone who loves making lists(as i do!),this would be the PERFECT gift!

I was so excited to receive mine in the mail and I'm slowly making my lists so it will last longer.

I wish it had less pictures and a few more lists but it has almost every list you can imagine with space to make your own in the back.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very Personal
The concept of the book is great! However, in going through the pages with the list maniac person to whom I gave it as a gift, I saw that it really is very, very personal and that it would have to be kept much like a diary -- unles pages and pages of lists were left blank. (i.e. "Places I've Had Sex", "Celebrities I'd Like to Have Sex With").

So, as a very private autobiographical resource, it's great. Definitely not something to leave lying around if you actually respond to many of the lists--especially if you have children.

I had a blast with this book, and learned quite a bit about myself in the process. It's cute, perfect for a rainy night or a Sunday afternoon. My wife and I filled it in parallel.

I've been addicted to making lists for years, I came across this book on a blog and I went threw the roof. I ordered it immediately, received it today and have spent most of my day filling it out already. I'm glad to have found others who share the love for lists. Use it to learn about yourself or to just have fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, paradise for the list addict!!, October 17, 2007
This review is from: Listography Journal: Your Life in Lists (Paperback)
Do you have a list for just about everything and anything? Ever had dreams of penning an autobiography? Listography Journal offers a fun alternative to the run-of-the-mill diary. Author Lisa Nola and illustrator Nathaniel Russell have teamed up to create a fun way of recording information about yourself - a veritable life in lists!

The tangible companion to the popular website, Listography.com, the book will get you well on your way to keeping track of life's big (and little) facts about yourself.

If you are a lover of lists, an avid archiver, or chronic chronicler, you'll love this quirky take on journaling. Not to mention, the original illustrations that accompany each list will have you in stitches!

5.0 out of 5 stars A terrific gift to inspire creativity, June 24, 2011

At first glance this book appears to be a fun way to make lists about your life. Once you dive in, you will be really surprised at how many wonderful memories emerge and forgotten stories from your past. It's a wonderful catalyst for thinking creatively about your life or for simply jotting details down that you might someday forget. I am not much of an elaborate diary keeper so this book is an accessible way to keep my memories. It's also a lot of fun!

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome book, not a fan of the pictures!, May 30, 2011
This review is from: Listography Journal: Your Life in Lists (Paperback)
I'm having a lot of fun filling out the lists with my husband. There are definitely some personal lists, like the ones about sex! My only qualm- the illustrations are hideous. LOL. But other than that, it's a really fun book.

5.0 out of 5 stars a SIMPLER way of journaling!, November 12, 2009

I've been completing my Listography for the last 4 months now and haven't made it through the entire book yet. I admit, I don't write in it daily, but I do keep it bedside and pick it up from time to time and complete a little here and there. For people who enjoy lists (like I do) you will LOVE this.

What a fun way to have a closer look into someone you already think you know! I bought this journal to give my children a little insight into their mom as a person, not just a parent. (Don't know when I'll give them the opportunity to read it, but they'll see it someday!) My favorite this or that, memories as a child or teenager, etc. This clever Listography journal has been insightful for myself as well. It asks me questions I never would have asked of myself and makes me feel nostalgic as I complete my answers.

I can't recommend this book enough!

4.0 out of 5 stars Some shock value, for sure!, March 1, 2010

What's good about this book? Well, it is guaranteed bliss if you're a list-lover like me. What's bad about this book? Some of the simpler lists I could think of filling out are nowhere to be found. But there are some definite winners here and it's worth your time. If you love lists, be sure and check out "The Secret Me: A Questionnaire Journal" by Shane Windham as well. There are lots of great lists there too, in addition to many other types of personalized fun to be had. The fact that I also own that book is probably the only reason I gave this 4 stars. It covered a bit more familiar ground for me. But I recommend both, either way.

This is a wonderful product and such a fun way to record your memories. I start to laugh every time I imagine myself one day reading this book to my grandchildren. This particular Listography journal covers a wide range of topics: favorite movies, songs, and foods, places you have lived, childhood and current friends, jobs you have had, and much, much more. It may take me a while to complete the entire journal, but I don't mind at all - it's a fun alternative to sitting on the sofa watching tv :)
