Quite nice CD, one of the best in the Howard's serie!! In fact there are many recordings, some marvellous, some ugly, of the "Deuxième Année de Pèlerinage - Italie" and its supplement "Venezia e Napoli": Lazar Berman (DG), Aldo Ciccolini (EMI), Louis Lortie (Chandos), Jeno Jandò (Naxos) Alfred Brendel (Philips) Jorge Bolet (Decca), Thomas Hitzlberger (Cybele), Frederic Chiu (Harmonia Mundi)...
Howard's one is very very nice, with deep moments, tempi are right, great touch and ideas!
A very good CD indeed! Recommended! :)

The flip-side of Volume 1 of the years of travel? The music's a little darker, a little more brooding. I have to go; I'm going to put the CD on right now.
