5.0 out of 5 stars After One Year, Still Going Strong, April 10, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Da-Lite 94129 Theater-Lite Hdtv Portable Projection Screen (80-Inch) (Electronics)
I purchased this screen early last year for use in our "family room". It is a multipurpose room, so for movie nights, we needed something that could easily be put up, then taken down and stored out of sight. For our purposes, it works great. I wish I had room for a larger screen, but with the roof angle and other items in the room, it is about as big as we can go.

So far we have not run into any sags or waves in the screen at the edges, but it does move a bit during movies if we have the overhead fan turned up too high.

It gives a great bright picture. We are using it with a Viewsonic Pro 8100 front projector running 1080p and at an 8' viewing distance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Use screen for my business, October 3, 2009

This review is from: Da-Lite 94129 Theater-Lite Hdtv Portable Projection Screen (80-Inch) (Electronics)
I bring this screen to meetings with me. I must carry the screen from parking garages - through lobbies - in the elevator - to the conference room. The previous screen I used for presentations was VERY heavy. This screen is extremely light, easy to carry and easy to assemble. I highly recommended this screen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Screen, December 15, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Da-Lite 94129 Theater-Lite Hdtv Portable Projection Screen (80-Inch) (Electronics)
The screen looked very nice and did what we needed it to do. However this screen really lacks in height. We had to use ours on top of tables in a room size of 20 x 20. Make sure to get some sort of desk or table to lift it up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Screen!! Lightweight & Portable, January 23, 2012
This review is from: Da-Lite 94129 Theater-Lite Hdtv Portable Projection Screen (80-Inch) (Electronics)
We had a comparable screen with tripod legs, the height would not work at all for our presentations/seminars and were constantly setting the screen on top of a table. I purchased this 80" Theater Lite and love it! Don't mind the other review on here - when you fully extend the screen up it reaches almost 8' high. We are able to see just fine from 40ft back at our seminars. Best part about it - it is extremely lightweight and easy to transport - just be mindful of how long it is while carrying or you'll get caught in a door or elevator! Highly recommend this screen for the price and performance. Also have NO issues with screen 'sagging' on the side or top. Great product.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST PULL UP PORTABLE SCREEN OUT THERE!!!!, April 28, 2011
This review is from: Da-Lite 94129 Theater-Lite Hdtv Portable Projection Screen (80-Inch) (Electronics)
Just got mine delivered today. I recently also received my projector and so far I was projecting on a white wall and was amazed by the image my Optoma GT720 NEW WXGA GameTime Projector (Projectors) produces on a plain wall (not even smooth). It was until I projected it on this screen when I realized what a difference it makes!!!

I initially considered Epson DUET Epson Duet 80-Inch Dual Aspect Ratio Projection Screen, Portable 4:3 and 16:9 Aspect Ratio Screen (ELPSC80) which is very popular on amazon. However, here's why I chose this (price difference about 100 bucks between the two)

1. Da Lite are professional screen makers of all screen shapes and sizes and different materials and give detailed specs. The dalight "wide power" fabric is premium material previously only on the more expensive screens but they have recently started making theater lites with this same material!!! it leaves the normal "white matte" fabrics in the dust. The result is POPPING images with great brightness and vibrant colors!

2. Less footprint and no sagging...the epson duet sags from the top and is mounted on the tripod which has big legs meaning you have to have extra space for it. Da lite theater lite "pulls up" onto a metal rod which has 5 different settings good for all kinds of heights and doesnt sag at all. It has barely any foot print; its only 16 pounts, and can be easily carried and stowed away.Epson Duet 80-Inch Dual Aspect Ratio Projection Screen, Portable 4:3 and 16:9 Aspect Ratio Screen (ELPSC80)

3. As other viewers have noted, it lasts long and looks and feels like a quality product. For close to 200 bucks, you cant find a premium portable screen with premium fabric. Go for it!!
