Positives;

1. The default bezel for the drive is black unlike product picture. Comes with beige bezel but you have to attach it yourself.
2. It comes with a red sata cable, not L shaped.
3. It burns dvd single layer quietly compared to last liteon burner.

Negative;

1. Comes with really crappy Nero Essentials software that makes you purchase mpeg encoder/decoder.
2. Nero software sucks to begin with.
3. The manual for the drive is for IDE version and not SATA version.

What can I say, it works. I plugged it in, and it was recognized at boot up, and works like a traditional IDE. I have no idea if it's faster, smarter, or whatever, but it freed up an IDE port for an additional hard drive.

Not recognized by XP Pro SP2 as anything other than a "CD-Rom drive". A firmware upgrade (flash program?) from Lite-on, did nothing.

It will read media, but won't burn anything.

Amazon had sold this item for $33.27 and it died after 2 months. No warranty,so I was out of luck.

This drive is excellent in my opinion it is fast reliable easty to install. Comes with two face plates Black and the one displayed in the photo on the page. The drive is quiet unlike some others while burning. I however can not comment on anything at max speed as i never use max.

very good!I almost have used it for two months,it was no problem at all. I love it.

The drive works fine, reads fast, seems very solid. I write at 4X so I can't comment on the top burn speeds.

The drive isn't loud to me like some have said. It spins up and down quickly to be as quiet as it can be.

It comes with screws, white face plate ( A black face plate is already on the drive), Nero 7 essentials, and a SATA cable. No power adaptor for old power supplies, not Lite-On's fault, just would be nice in the retail box.

Works fine...BTW It comes with a black faceplate stock, but also includes an extra white faceplate. FWIW, it's not the drive's fault you have to pay extra to play some video file types... that's a Windoze issue. MS doesn't include the codecs with their OS or WMP.

Lite-On SATA 20x Super All Write LightScribe Internal DVD/Dual Layer RW Drive (LH20A1L06) This dvd drive works great. It burns cd's fast and it plays dvd's great. I have another LITE-ON dvd drive on another computer for well over a year now and have not had any complaints. Would highly recommend it.

Quiet. I've had this for about a month and no issues with any burns to date.
