Anyone going to Munich HAS TO GO TO the HofBrau Haus. It would be the same as going to N.Y & seeing the Statue Of Liberty.

The HB is *NOT* a sticker.
This is a very heavy stein--it weighs 2.85lbs empty.
Has an excellent feel.
Arrived excellently packed, the glass is tightly wrapped in bubble wrap which is then put into a box filled with packing peanuts. Amazon then puts that box into another box which is fills with it's air filled plastic pillows.
You will not go wrong buying this. Enjoy your beer!

I've been to Munich twice now for Oktoberfest. While this stein feels identical to the real deal, it isn't. It's a great replica.
However, I'm not a fan of the cheap HB sticker on it. Also, there is no manufacturing origin on the glass. It looks like "Made in something" was on the bottom, but it was dremeled out or something.
I really need to get a real one back from the fatherland.

Although this is made in Turkey, this glass stein is very nice. I don't have any visible flaws on my glass stein so I think it's safe to say it's perfect; however, the shipping is kind of on the pricey side.
So for its price + S&H, what do you get?
1) You get this Munchen glass stein in a nice big box filled with foam to protect it
2) Another box that encases the stein itself
3) Very speedy delivery - it came on the first expected day Amazon stated
Now for the ups and downs:
Pro(s):
- Great quality, thick glass (might be better if it were made in Germany, but the price would definitely go up)
- Keeps beverage cold for a good duration
- Strong textured handle
- Holds a liter
Con(s):
- Pricey but I wanted to enjoy Oktoberfest properly

Put this glass stein in a freezer for at least 15 minutes and then pop 2-3 ice cold cans/bottles of your favorite brand and boom! You just got yourself a piece of Heaven.

This came in SO quickly. Lightning fast. Granted it was shipped from the same state I live in, but still. Got it for my boyfriend for Xmas - we went to Oktoberfest this past year and had a ball. Looks almost identical, and I'd have given 5 stars, but the paint on the gold circle around the logo is chipped/faded in some spots. Not a huge deal, and I'm sure he will be thrilled regardless.

I was in Munich about 5 years ago and brought one of these bad boys back with me in my suitcase. I try not to use it too much because the foil portion of the logo scratches easily and it's one of my only souvenirs from the trip so it means a lot to me.
Well, with the local Oktoberfest coming up this weekend, I wanted to drink beer out of my giant glass stein but didn't want to risk damaging mine once I've had a few. I'm so glad I ordered this one because it is an almost perfect replica. Both the logo and the type are a little smaller and are in a slightly different position that my original, but honestly, if someone had just swapped them on me I probably wouldn't have been any the wiser. It's really only apparent which is which when they're side by side. Now I have one for show and one for go!
Also, bonus points for it being packaged well and having Prime shipping available.

These are great. I ordered six of these for groomsmen gifts. ( I have 5 groomsmen). They arrived quickly and were packaged better than anything I've ever had shipped to me. They are good heavy glasses and are almost identical to the real thing. It does seem that the sticker on the outside could eventually fall off if you weren't careful, but that doesn't bother me. Just don't put them in the dishwasher and you should be fine. Holds about three 12oz beers.
