Product Description

This is DAS BOOT! This two liter machine pressed beer boot is perfect for the budget minded boot drinker looking for a more durable "Das Boot".

Beer Boot Specifications

Features of the 2 liter machine pressed beer boot:

We import the 2 liter machine pressed beer boot direct and it is exclusive to our web sites. Prominently featured in the movie BeerFest as "Das Boot", the boot game is a unique and impressive challenge. These boots are made for drinking.
Machine pressed beer boots are more durable than their mouth blown counterpart, but are still fragile and caution should be used whenever handling this "Das Boot". It is perfectly normal to find slight abnormalities such as air bubbles and ridges in the glassware this size. We do not offer any warranty - issued or implied.
* The seams run down the front and back compared to each side as with the mouth blown boot * Features a thick heel and bottom so it is perfect for those worried about breaking their boot * Our 2 liter boot has the traditional pointed German toe.

One time I filled and drank an entire Das Boot of Mountain Dew, and when I was finished I had diabetes.

Don't just limit yourself to beer with this fine product. One time I filled and drank an entire Das Boot of Mountain Dew, and when I was finished I had diabetes.

I received this about two weeks ago with the intent to give it to some friends as a Christmas present. I was exited to posses a copy of the infamous Das Boot and have some good old beer swilling fun with it.

My first impression on picking the thing out of the box was that it felt cheaper than the $25 price tag. Still, it was glass and I figured it was a decent quality for the sort of novelty item it is. I decided to forgive because it was still possible to drink beer out of the thing and it looked pretty darn impressive. I filled it up with water both to clean it and get an idea of the volume (how much is 2 Liters of beer, REALLY) and much to my dismay the seam on the toe started spurting water!

Now that I've discovered I can't drink form it, I am upset with my purchase.

It's my opinion that Das Boot wasn't damaged in shipping but that the seam resulting from machine press is a weak spot which the pressure of normal use is too much for. I might give the benefit of the doubt if my attempts to contact the seller had met with any response, but so far nothing.

EDIT: The seller finally contacted me, and apologized by way of a free replacement boot. My assessment of its quality remains largely unchanged, but since this one isn't chipped I actually got to drink out of it. The final verdict is that this thing will NOT survive much use. A nice novelty, yes but not much else.

I've never drank so many boots of beer. This glass boot of beer is far better than the ordinary boots I was pouring my beer into.

It seems to stand less sturdy than I would like it to and I'm giving it as a gift, so the box that is shown to come with it would have been nice if it had come with it.

The boot looks much smaller than what it is in the pic. The quality sucks too. I was disappointed ...

I got the as a gift for a friend and it is awesome! Only thing I'd change is to have some kind of lip-shape on the edge because the glass is so thick, that it's a little odd when drinking out of it.

Boot racing is common. My fastest time is 25:47, but I've only done 4 so far. One being 7% IPA and another 5.9% Milkwakee's Best. It can be used as a group chugfest or individual challenger. I would not recommend doing it on Thursday at 10pm if you have to work on Friday.

It is glass, but it feels like the cheap china glass that it is. It is fairly light, when you pour 6 beers in it, it does get a little heavy to carry around. Warning you now, every pour has 'excessive head', no matter the professional status of said pourer.
