Totally Awesome,

We're using this book in one of my classes this summer. It is such a refreshing book with a new way at looking at the process of literacy.

not a whole lot of new information,
This review is from: Literacy at the Crossroads: Crucial Talk About Reading, Writing, and Other Teaching Dilemmas (Paperback)
I had to read this for a graduate school assignment. It is definitely for the undergraduate or someone without teaching experience. Regie is a whole language supporter, so if you believe in phonics like I do, you will think she is bashing your beliefs. It is an easy read, but her teaching style is very different than what you will see in today's schools.
