I have been so pleased with other books in the Holcomb Hathaway literacy series . . . that I decided to look at Literacy and Learning by Sharon Kane. The author has given some great ideas, especially in the Getting Ready to Teach section, and her teaching suggestions in the About the Author section were helpful. --Naomi Garwood, Roberts Wesleyan College
I really do love the book! I think it is well-written, student-friendly, and VERY interesting. It, in turn, motivated my students to be excited about literacy in their secondary level classrooms --Carolyn Allemand, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor
This book is excellent--in content, in theoretical approaches, and for the structure of my courses. . . . I wish I had discovered this 4-5 months ago --Randall Nichols, Brescia University
