About the Author

Tonya Singer Ward has taught students in all grades from Kindergarten through College. She has lived and taught in Texas, North Carolina, California, and China. She is currently a resource educator, supporting classroom teachers with literacy instrucction and meeting the needs of multilingual students. She co-wrote The Scholastic Teacher Plan Book (Scholastic, 2001).
