For simplicity of installation, it's hard to do better than LitesNow's Valo track-lighting systems. Here's how it works: Locate the spot on your ceiling where you want to install the system, then cut and/or bend the track to fit your surface. Then peel off the backing to expose the adhesive strip and press the track into place (you can also attach the track with nails or screws if you wish). Then install the lamps by snapping them into place on the track. Plug it in and you're done.

Like the other track-lighting systems offered by LitesNow, the track in this kit has an adhesive backing that allows you to easily install it on just about any surface, including drywall, metal, wood, brick, cinder block, soundboard, bulletin board, wallpaper, painted surfaces, cubicle fabric, and paneling. The backing is flexible, too, so you can bend it around, for example, exposed beams. The track can be cut to the desired length with an ordinary pair of scissors, as can the power cord. In other words, this kit is extremely adaptable, and can be installed just about anywhere.

Once installed, the narrow, low-profile track is barely noticeable--all your attention is drawn to the lights. The Valo system allows you to customize the lengths of the pendants easily by wrapping the cable inside the base, and accessory shades are available in a variety of colors (items #AV0022 and #AV0020). Note that you cannot add extra lights to this system.

I didn't call an electrician, I didn't bag my husband, I didn't wait for my husband, I installed the pendant lights on top of my kitchen island all by myself and I love the result!

I wanted to have pendant lights installed on top of my kitchen island, but my husband said it would be very difficult to do it because of the slant ceiling. Thus, we had been eating/working at the island without good lighting for years until I discovered this product and took the courage to install it myself.

Read and follow the instructions carefully, and measure where you the track to be installed since once it's installed, it can not be reused if the track is removed from its current locaiton. It can be a one-person job, but it will be easier if you can get another hand to help you.

I give this proudct a 4 star, because the lights can be brighter. I am happy with this product, and I am very proud of myself also.

I've been trying to find an option to put pendant lights over my dining room table for over a year. The problem is I have concrete ceilings which make ordinary light fixtures difficult, if not impossible to install.

Then I found these little lights from litesnow. I was amazed at how slim the track is that the lights attach to, you can barely distinguish it when installed. Speaking of which, installation was a snap. I measured several times and drew guide lines, which is important because the adhesive on the track is so strong you only have one shot at installing it. 20 minutes later I had pendant lights over my table. I painted the tape wire lead going from the dimmer to the track to match my walls and you can barely see it.

Overall, great light kit, easy to install, and includes everything you need (dimmer switch, wire tape (very thin) to go between dimmer and track, track, lights, etc.). I will be ordering a set of the valo track lights for another room.

I recently purchased the above noted item to hang above my dining room table. The reason for my purchase is because I live in an apartment and I am not able to do any hard wiring into the ceiling. The Valo plug in track lights were easy to set up, and look amazing. The dimmer is a great added feature and the price is awesome. There are lamps out there that cost triple what I paid.

The light covers are plastic and at first seem a tad fragile, but once hung, look excellent. I recommend having 2 people hang the light set. Other than that I am completely satisfied. I get compliments on them all the time.
