I purchased this 52-inch five-blade ceiling fan as much for the convenience of having it shipped to my door as anything else.

We had replaced all old fans in our house and needed a white one to swap with an old 70's style fan that was in a back bedroom. I was worried that this fan would be cheaply made and be comparable to a $50 fan purchased at a discount store, but I was happily wrong about that.

This fan was easy to install if you already know how to install a ceiling fan; if not, hire a professional to do it. All in all it took my husband about an hour to do and while we won't use it with a remote, it sure works great for it's intended purpose.


It's quiet and smooth running; even when used with an extra-long down-rod. Can't comment on the light quality because we didn't purchase the lightbulbs needed yet. (I see that it's the first line of the description - light bulbs not included - and it uses the small ones you wouldn't likely have on hand. Somehow I didn't read that when I ordered the fan.)

So make sure you have the lightbulbs on hand.

Overall, this unit seems like a decent purchase. Sure we may have gotten something similar or even better for this price had we chose to walk around our home improvement store, but purchasing this one on Amazon and having it delivered to our door was too convenient in this case.

Overall, a good purchase.
