this product does what it says
had this some months now and chose to comment at this time because only after experiencing the item you can give a fair accessment of said item as i said works great amd have not changed battery since this was placed in the main bedroom so it gets a fair amount of use.no regrets on purchase

ordered this universal remote, when arrived it said it wouldnt work on a hugger ceiling fan (which is what we had just ordered). Once it was all here and installed, the remote works great and we love the dimmer feature!

Dimmer sucks for CFLs more than expected,

When I purchased this item, I knew the light dimmer was not for CFL lamps, but I thought if it would not be an issue if I leave it at 100%. I was dead wrong! Even at 100% the CFL lamps in the light fixture flicker annoyingly. WAF is terribly low for this item. The fan controls work fine, except when you turn on the fan from the wall switch, the light keeps turning on and off and the fan fails to start, unless you reset the whole thing by clicking the fan speed button on the remote, and turn the lights off and on from the remote (and if you want to restore the original fan speed, click the fan speed button two times again to go back to the original setting).
It is a pain to use, if only it did not have the silly light dimmer. Who uses incandescent bulbs these days anyway! If it were not for the dimmer issues, I would have given it 4-5 stars, notwithstanding the problem with starting the fan from the wall switch. |
