After a panic call from daughter in college, I needed to source her a cell phone battery to replace a worn out one in a near obsolete phone. Amazon had the part, and I could "drop ship" it to her dorm. I arrived 48 hours later, with no apparent social damage done for the phone down-time.

The great thing wasn't the battery, I think they all come out of one factory somewhere on the planet; the great thing was Amazon having the part, and getting it shipped quick.
