5.0 out of 5 stars Very Valuable for Even a Part-Timer Wii Player
This battery charger console is a money-saver to keep from having to replace the batteries so often. You don't have to worry about the individual batteries getting lost or the kids taking the batteries and using on another item. The battery packs just clip on the back of the Wii controller, which is handy. We've only used this about a month, but it's been good so far.

1.0 out of 5 stars Caveat emptor: It's a Ni-MH, not Li-Ion as advertised.
The Ni-MH batteries I got before died within a year of very infrequent usage.
So I was looking specifically for Li-Ion batteries.
Alas, I got Ni-MH ones again.

3.0 out of 5 stars Seems to work but no instructions provided, February 10, 2009
This review is from: Lithium-Ion Dual Charging Dock for Nintendo Wii Remote (Electronics)
I purchased two of these to charge our four Wii remotes. Installation was intuitively obvious but the product came with no instructions. Removing the remote cover to charge the batteries is inconvenient. Also, the remote is tricky to seat properly when the wrist strap is attached.

The description said that the lights indicate the charging status, but we're left to guess what that status is. It appears that the blue light indicates only power and that red is charging. But sometimes the light appears purple. Does that mean that the remote is not seated properly in the cradle? Or does the color of the light change back from red to blue when the remote is fully charged and purple indicates an 'almost ready' state? That might explain why only one of the chargers has red/purple lights and the other one remains blue.

It would also be helpful to know whether it is safe to keep the remotes plugged in even after they are fully charged.

3.0 out of 5 stars false advertising, but still okay..., April 2, 2011

1)Order arrived very quickly using standard shipping option.

2)Order was not in original packaging. Instead it was in a plastic bag. Everything was in the bag.

3)The closer I looked at the battery packs, I noticed that they say Ni-MH which is not the lithium ion type that was advertised, so I feel a bit cheated by that.

For the price, I am not going to complain too loudly about the batteries being NI-MH instead of LI-ION but that should really be stated upfront. So if you are ordering this product be aware that it IS NOT lithium ion. The batteries do charge and seem to hold the charge well.

I have only had this for a couple of days now. I will update this review if anything changes.

you need a computer or some kind of port to hook it up. if you are looking for a charger try to find one that you can plug into the wall.
