Product Description

Lithium is a monovalent metal and lithium. It is an effective nutritional support for manic-depressive illness. Although the specific mode of action is not known, it is felt that lithium acts to decrease norepinephrine concentration at receptor sites in the central nervous system. Symptoms include characteristic mood swings, alternate and recurring periods of depression and/or elation. These mood swings are precipitated by internal rather than external (A "Glucose Tolerance Physiology Test" may be appropriate.)
