About the Author

John Schwarb is a 1996 graduate of Indiana University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. He covered the Little 500 for three years for the Indiana Daily Student, and spent two years after college researching The Little 500 and freelancing for the Indiana Alumni Magazine. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and now lives in Florida. This is his first book.

This book is ideal for anyone who is interested in the Little 500--an IU Student, a Little 500 rider, an IUSF member, or a curious fan. Schwarb does an amazing job going through the history of the humble beginnings of race all the way through the 1990's--detailing all of the people behind the events, the races, the up's and down's, and the emotion that made Little 5 what it is today. The Appendix includes a list of everyone who ever rode in "The Race," which makes this a great gift to former riders. Many people often ask, "What is Little 500?" This book answers that question and many more...
