This is a great Bible for kids that are just starting to read. It reads like a Bible storybook but contains all the facts and goes through the entire Bible. Very thorough yet, holds the interests of young ones.

We were ready to move from a preschool bible with simplistic writing under a picture on each page, but this book failed to capture his imagination. There are very few pictures in this book, each page is full of text. I wish I had looked at the sample page here instead of buying a shrink-wrapped copy. A friend recommended another bible from Zondervan with comics in it, and I'm ordering that today.

My friend bought this book for her son and I was reading it one night and was amazed at how accurate and easy for them to understand it was. We are picking one up for our 3 1/2 yr. old son.

I have used this for two of my children to help them get on their feet with reading the Bible alone. It's perfect because they can read it cover-to-cover without encountering anything too difficult on the way. Stories like Lot and his daughters are thankfully missing, but I did remove the page with David and Bathsheba because this translation uses the term "have sex" instead of the old fashioned "lay with" and I didn't want to get into that yet. Also, whatever might be tedious to a young reader is removed, eg. genealogies, but most of the Bible stories they have grown up with, along with a selection of Psalms and Proverbs, are included. This is perfect because it is so accessible: they know exactly where to read, and it's an easy translation. With a whole Bible, they are never sure where to start and stop. This is not practical for Sunday School because there are no chapter and verse markings, but it is perfect for seeing the Bible as readable. Love it!

This is in a different binding then I thought, it's more like a hard cover text book, but that works well for small kids. Very similar to the newer NIrV Adventure Bible.

Don't hesitate this is a great seller with integrity, even when things don't go perfect. He will stand behind his company and make sure customer is satisfied.
