Another great book by Julia -
The designs and color combinations are gorgeous and the instructions are relatively easy to follow if you have had some experience with increasing and decreasing using the peyote stitch. Looking forward to the next beading book Julia brings out - keep up the great work Julia :-)

I love this book. I have already made three boxes from the book, including the beautiful flower box on the cover. I was a little intimidated when I first read at the instructions, but they turned out to easy to follow and the boxes come out perfectly. I am now looking forward to trying out Julia's knit bags from her other book. Happy beading.

I really liked this book. It was challenging and the finished product was great! A little bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of the directions, ie word graphs, it is a breeze to follow. Great picture graphs and the extra blank graphs at the back of the book are a fantastic perk. Very satisfying end product.

Highly recommend for intermediat to advanced beaders.

As beautiful as these boxes look, the instructions are even more "beautiful". Yes, YOU CAN make these boxes! Of course, working with seed beads takes patience, and it's kind of important to actually read the instructions and then actually follow them (a word to the wise, and to some of the unhappy reviewers- follow instructions!- what a concept!). I've been beading for only 3 years, and believe me, Julia's instructions are excellent. She took great pains to explain her designs and technique so that you can really make what you see pictured. This book is more than worth the price, as the designs are gorgeous, and what beader wouldn't want to make one?! Don't hesitate to buy this book- you'll love it!

The idea of making little boxes from beads was exciting but I am afraid that after trying to follow the word patterns I was so frustrated that I gave up. Maybe if you are proficient in peyote stitch and used to following graphs then this book is for you but anyone wanting to follow the written directions should think again. There were many too many mistakes made and makes me wonder why people do not proof read and have someone else make the project from the directions before publishing.

this book is a marvel of architecture - geometry and just plain gorgeous little boxes. i recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn exquisite construction technique.

This book was great. I looked it over and was not sure I could follow the instructions but once I started I found it to be pretty easy. Her helpful tips were great as if she anticipated the problems I would have. Also the projects didnt take as long as I had thought they would. I am a medium level beader so have only limited knowledge when I started these projects.

Well, I just finished my first little bead box. It is so lovely. I enjoyed a bead project that was a non-wearable. The complete project does not take as long as I thought it would. I'm not sure you should tackle this if you are not comfortable with peyote patterns or if you have not beaded any project with a geometric shape. Definitely read the beginning of the book with the general instructions before you start beading otherwise you will never be able to follow the word pattern. If you choose to make any of these boxes - you will not be disappointed.

I thought this book was great. I think the auther did a beautiful job constructing the boxes. They were a little challenging which I enjoyed because I get tired of easy projects. I found that I learned a lot because I read so much to figure out how everything worked together. Beautiful book and worth every penny.

While I have yet to make any of the boxes from this book, I have read it thoroughly and am anxious to begin a box. I have seen boxes others have made from the instructions in this book so I feel confident in recommending it to others. The instructions are clear, don't leave you with questions, and help you to produce a piece worthy of the effort it takes. Again, glad I added it to my personal beading library.
