These guys are great! The female singer's seductive voice inspires its own uniqueness. Lately I've heard some of the newer, heavier stuff on the radio (JJJ mostly) and it's easy to tell that band are little birdy even before it's announced.This kind of music is considered rock but with each song holding a very distinctive sound and originality in song writing, particularly musically. Anyone who's heard "Relapse" and "Baby Blue" has been pretty interested in who Little Birdy are. If you can get a copy of this cd grab it. If not check them out in their next ep or their debut album because they won't dissapoint.

This is Little Birdys first E.P after being 'discovered' only this year. Baby Blue is perhaps the Best Track followed by Relapse. Her voice could be compared to Cyndi Laupers except with a rock/alternative sound. Buy if you like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blondie, or if you are a fan of alternative music.

This Steven Guy, in my opinion, is a di*k. Little Birdy sounds great because they are different. His question 'Does guitar based rock music have a future'? What kind of a stupid question is that? Okay, we can all have an opinion of what sort of music we like, But what category would you put Nirvana or Pearl Jam in? Modern rock?....aka guitar based rock. Does or Did Nirvana have a future by playing their music? i think so!
To get to my point i think the Little Birdy EP is awesome aussie music n they will get pretty darn far i reckon!!

Yuck.
Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. I invite you to consider these questions: Does guitar based Rock music have a future? Can a singer with a voice as twee and as bad as the lead singer of Little Birdy provide the listener with anything other than novelty value? (She sounds like a female Tiny Tim! I kid you not!) Little Birdy is one of the worst examples of Rock music I've been subjected to in a long time. The singer is up with kasey Chamber, Delta Goodrem and Missy Higgins in the realm of BAD and irritating singers. Yuck. Yuck. And double yuck. Crap, thy name is Little Birdy. Time to poison the bird seed! |
